{"id":11665,"date":"2026-10-01T10:40:24","date_gmt":"2026-10-01T08:40:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.letmekoo.lt\/?p=11665"},"modified":"2026-10-01T11:09:43","modified_gmt":"2026-10-01T09:09:43","slug":"kvieciame-prisijungti-prie-ltmks-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.letmekoo.lt\/en\/naujienos\/kvieciame-prisijungti-prie-ltmks-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Join LIAA!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Throughout the month of October, we invite contemporary artists, curators, and art historians to join the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists\u2019 Association (LIAA).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LIAA brings together more than 230 emerging and established contemporary artists, organizes and produces exhibitions, events, and residencies, publishes materials, and represents artists\u2019 interests in the field of cultural policy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please submit the following documents to the union via email at <\/span><a href=\"mailto:info@letmekoo.lt\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">info@letmekoo.lt<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by October 31:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An application for membership, including contact information (phone number, address, email) and a brief statement of motivation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A description of your creative work that demonstrates its interdisciplinary nature. Interdisciplinary art is defined as a mode of creation and thought stemming from the visual arts, combining expressions from different fields of art and science into a cohesive whole, in which the work acquires new qualities not characteristic of individual disciplines and transcends their boundaries.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Examples of creative work (portfolio).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A list of publications (with links or PDF files).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A copy of an identity document.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recommendations from at least 4 professional art critics.* A professional art critic is a person with a university degree who advances knowledge in the fields of culture and art and publishes the results of this work in monographs, studies, reviews, and articles in Lithuania and\/or abroad.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">* If you already hold the status of an artist, you do not need to submit these documents.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The decision on the admission of new members is made by the LIAA Council.\u00a0 The final decision on granting the status of artist is made by the Minister of Culture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Granting the status of artist confirms that the artist\u2019s work meets the requirements of the law, has lasting value, and is significant to society.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The annual membership fee is 20 EUR. The admission fee is 30 EUR.<\/strong> The admission fee is paid upon submission of the application and is non-refundable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Resolution of the General Assembly of March 28, 2026)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Why Join LIAA:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By joining LIAA, you become part of an organization that supports and represents the interests of artists. Membership offers various benefits and community connections.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We bring together an active community of contemporary artists, curators, and researchers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We encourage collaboration, solidarity, and the sharing of knowledge.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We provide information on current open calls, as well as the activities of our members and the association.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We offer opportunities to participate in residencies, win creative awards, and use the \u201cSODAS 2123\u201d studios on preferential terms.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We provide consulting and legal assistance on copyright and professional matters.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We run a mentorship program.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We facilitate collaboration with curators and international partners.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We organize relevant seminars and conduct research.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We provide recommendations for national, state, municipal, and other awards.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We offer opportunities to implement projects at the \u201cAtletika\u201d gallery.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Acquiring the status of an artist grants access to social benefits.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An LIAA membership card provides access to many exhibition venues in Lithuania for free or at a discount.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cSODAS 2123\u201d offers discounts for events organized by LIAA members.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits of artist status:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ability to pay social and health insurance contributions based on half of your income and to participate in the social security program.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are temporarily unable to work, you can receive benefits during creative hiatuses.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The opportunity to obtain beneficiary status and allocate up to 1.2% of income tax.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This status is taken into account when awarding creative and educational grants.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The opportunity to register creative spaces as workshops with more favorable rates.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":25,"featured_media":11666,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[26],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v15.2.1 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/www.letmekoo.lt\/naujienos\/kvieciame-prisijungti-prie-ltmks-3\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_US\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Join LIAA!
