When interdisciplinarity comes across as a given, there seems to be little need for new definitions. Many an artist of the young generation have long since ceased using the word \u201cinterdisciplinarity\u201d when discussing their own work. They make no attempt to revisit the concept or reinvigorate it in any other way. Still, the concept does come up in contemporary art, albeit in a somewhat odd manner. One often encounters a peculiar concept of interdisciplinarity \u2013 or a conceptual bubble \u2013 which is self-contained and can serve as a safe format.<\/p>\n
The artists in the exhibition were invited to attend a talk with the concept and\/or the curator. The topic for this talk is the role of interdisciplinarity in the context of contemporary art and their own oeuvre. Online catalogue here<\/a>. \nEssentially, the exhibition organized between 17th and 31st of October, invited to (re)consider the notion of interdisciplinarity\/interdisciplinary art. Doing the (re)considering are members of the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists Union and independent creators: 2 EASY fashion, Arnas Anskaitis, Dainius Li\u0161kevi\u010dius, Danas Aleksa, Ignas Krunglevi\u010dius, Jurga Barilait\u0117, K\u0119stutis \u0160apoka, Linas Jusionis, Marija \u0160nipait\u0117, Mindaugas Gap\u0161evi\u010dius (MIGA), Paulina Egl\u0117 Pukyt\u0117, Saulius Leonavi\u010dius, Vitalij \u010cerviakov, Vsevolod Kovalevskij. Their works gave not only representation, but also indirectly supplemented the idea and definitions of interdisciplinarity.<\/p>\n
