On the evening of 28th of July, interdisciplinary artist Das Vegas, a member of Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association, invites You to his auction-performance, happening in project space “Sodų 4”.

The project “Art Value: Auction” is examining the notion of political economy in the art processes, i.e. production, circulation and consumption. Critically appropriating principles of such discourse, the artist seeks for synthesis between those two different and opposite paradigms. The viewer of the exhibition is invited to rethink the existing connotations of those philosophical assumptions, elevating the moral and aesthetic values on a higher level.

During August 2016 project “Art Value: Market” will be performed in various marketplaces: Halės market, Kalvarijų street market, Gariūnai, Aukštadvaris second-hand market, Rietavas flea market and others.
