Čepulytė Viltė

The young generation painter Viltė Čepulytė explores the essence and nature of classical aesthetic values, highlighting the forms of ancient beauty, eurhythmicity, the actualization and reflection on the classical sculptural figures in the context of the contemporaneity. For Vilte Čepulyte, history becomes not an actualization of the signs of the past, but a reflection of the present, in which the restrained, lyrical and nuanced paintings, their quiescent lines and subtle chiaroscuro, are resurrected as a newly relevant pictorial language that marks the individuality of the artist.

Viltė Čepulytė (b. 2000) is a young generation painter who completed her Bachelor’s degree in painting at the Vilnius Academy of Arts in 2023. And master’s degree in Fine Arts at the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam. Since 2018, she has been participating in group exhibitions and has held solo exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad since 2022.
