Daukša Tomas

Tomas Daukša was born in 1988, in Palanga. He completed painting studies at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. In 2019 there he defended his doctoral degree in art. Since 2009 he actively participates in exhibitions both in Lithuania and abroad, organizes personal exhibitions. His work was presented at international contemporary art fairs (Art Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Tbilisi Art Fair (Sakartvelo), Enter Art Fair (Denmark), Vienna Contemporary Art Fair (Austria), Fresh Paint (Israel), COSMOSCOW (Russia), ArtVilnius ( Lithuania)), museums, galleries, art centers in Lithuania (Contemporary Art Center, National Art Gallery, Klaipėda Culture and Communication Center, The Rooster Gallery, etc.) and abroad (Futura Gallery (Czech Republic), Gallery NB (Denmark), Soda Gallery (Slovakia)). In 2013 T. Daukša was awarded the Ary Stillman scholarship. In his work, T. Daukša explores the internals of various systems, their operating principles and the possibilities of transformations.
