Marijonas Verbel is an artist based in Vilnius. They are interested in the tension between art and craft. Marijonas works mainly with textiles, weaving, and art education, but not exclusively. They are curious about how titles can create scenarios and activate imagery in the minds of viewers.
Hiding behind the pseudonym Blue Helen, they observe objects and fragments of everyday life that catch the eye — clothing, household textiles, everyday scenes and items whose charisma creates an attraction that defies the logic of control.
Currently, Marijonas is searching for a studio space to host recurring weaving workshops — a place where people could gather to learn weaving through direct engagement with looms and to create new connections.
