During OPEN SODAS an exhibition titled ‘Respawn’ by Finnish artist Hanna Ijäs and Icelandic artist Bryndís Björnsdóttir (Dísa) will open at Atletika gallery (Vitebsko 21, Vilnius) on 27 October 2022, curated by Ignas Pavliukevičius and AI language model GPT3. This exhibition is the result of the two-month artist residency at the cultural centre SODAS 21232. On the opening night on 27 October, from 7 pm, artist Hanna Ijäs together with sound artists Edvinas Gruodis Siliūnas, Karolis Brežinskas and Kristupas Kmitas will present the performance ‘Lie Down Where You Want to Be Stepped On’.

Swallow project space will be open 6 pm – 9 pm with an exhibition “The Weather in Fred Sandback”, imagined by Martin Ebner, Audrius Pocius and Ariane Müller and featuring works, music, and gestures by Eric D. Clark, Michèle Graf & Selina Grüter, Laura Kaminskaitė, Sebastian Luetgert, Robertas Narkus, Eleni Poulou & Hilary Jeffery, Ulla Rossek, Julia Scher, Valerie Stahl von Stromberg, Hannah Weinberger, Martin Ebner, and Ariane Müller.

The cultural centre SODAS 2123 (Vitebsko g. 21/23, Vilnius) is a space open to the public, initiated and curated by the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association (LIAA), based on the principles of community and self-management.
The event is organised by SODAS 2123 together with the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association.
The activities of the LIAA are funded by the Lithuanian Council for Culture and the Vilnius City Municipality, as well as by the Stabilization Fund 2022 for Culture and Education of the German Federal Foreign Office and the German Cultural Institute.
