The new painting and sound exhibition “Žiūrintys/(į)kvepiantys“ will be opened on June 7th at AP Gallery in Užupis, Vilnius. Its author is an artist Agnė Gintalaitė, who presents a series of landscapes that provoke reflections on the relationship between human and the surrounding environment, the connections between art and neuroscience.
A human is a complex construct. Being able to understand the physical, biological and chemical mechanisms of one’s life – the intuitive, psychological layers of a human still remain a mystery. By consciously accepting the limitations of our cognition we strive to remain the immovable measure by which we explore and state the world. But a person would not be human if they did not try to enter this area of limited vision…
Exhibition runs from June 6 to July 3 at AP Gallery (Polocko g. 10, Vilnius). The opening event on June 7th 7 p.m. is free of charge.
The exhibition is supported by the Lithuanian Council for Culture.
