New LIAA members!

We are happy to see that the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association is actively growing! Indrė Liškauskaitė, Karolina Latvytė – Bibiano, Elena Kanarskaitė, Vaidas Bartušas and Dan Hermouet have just joined LIAA.

Indrė Liškauskaitė is an interdisciplinary artist and curator based in Vilnius, Lithuania.  With a background of painting (bachelor) and textile (master) studies, Liškauskaitė currently doing doctoral studies in visual arts at Vilnius Academy of Arts. In her artistic practice, Liškauskaitė works with various media – drawing, mapping, writing, also sound and video. Note systems, maps and drawn diagrams are taking important part of her creative processes and often become part of the installations. Personal website

Karolina Latvytė-Bibiano (b. 1991) is an interdisciplinary artist who delves into sensitive subjects such as anxiety and the fear of death in her artistic practice. Her latest pieces are strongly rooted in autobiography, addressing current topics and inviting the viewer to consider their own existence. Through her chosen artistic mediums, she crafts a distinct world where elements of horror and fear intersect.

Elena Kanarskaitė is an interdisciplinary artist, graphic designer, living and working in Vilnius. Graduated from Vilnius College of  Design in graphic design, later VAA in graphic communication design. She works with personal creative projects as well as with various clients and customers. Vaidas Bartušas is a performance artist and a singer. He is currently studying for a Master’s degree in Chamber Singing at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in opera singing from the same university. He has created roles in the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre and the State Small Theatre, as well as in the opera-performances “Honey, Moon!” and “Sports Group”. He performs as a soloist and in various ensembles. V. Bartušas is a member of the Europa Choir Akademie. Founder of the Vocal Arts Network, co-author of the podcast “Something’s Not Right Here”. He won the Audience Choice Award in the Vox Juventutis competition, was nominated for the Golden Stage Cross as a member of the ensemble of actors in the performance “Sports Group”.

Dan Hermouet is a visual artist born in France by Brittany. His practice explores and researches hand applied historical analog photographic processes in the digital age. In 2021, he was awarded a scholarship by the Lithuanian Council of Culture, with a specific focus on pigment research. He has showcased his work at individual exhibitions held in Panevezys and Vilnius. His numerous group exhibitions include “ego” at Rothko museum.
