“Microorganisms and Their Hosts”. Exhibition closing event
Mindaugas Gapševičius’ exhibition “Microorganisms and Their Hosts” is coming to an end at “Atletika”, and yoghurts as well as kombuchas have been fermenting in the gallery space since the opening on October 6. On the occasion of the closing of the exhibition, an event will take place on Thursday October 15 at 6 pm where there might be a possibility to taste the yoghurt.

“Rethinking Alive as Material”, a Creative Workshop with Rūta Spelskytė
“Rethinking Alive as Material”is a continuos workshop with artist Rūta Spelskytė, held during October – December 2020. Starting from this Saturday, 17 October, it will be organised in series both in-person an online, the in-person events taking place at Atl Lab laboratory, located at cultural centre SODAS 2123 (Vitebsko 23, Vilnius).

“And Wardrobe Planning” is a durational performance and exhibition by Karolina Janulevičiūtė and Kasia Gorniak, presented at “Atletika” gallery 17-30 October 2020. During “Vilnius Gallery Weekend” on 23 and 24 October a discussion and a workshop will take place, where participants will be invited to join the process of making.

Recently opened largest cultural centre in Lithuania SODAS 2123 (Vitebsko Str. 21 and 23, Vilnius) is continuing its opening program. Between 24-26 September one more series of events – performances, exhibitions, artists’ open studios and other events will be presented. Some of the events will also be available online.

„Ars Electronica Garden Vilnius“ @ SODAS 2123 in September
Artists, researchers, students and professors perform in the hybrid reality grove which merges physical grove with the 4500 sq.m. SODAS2123 complex, considered as a hive or swarm full of actants including Alt Lab, symposium Ūmėdė, Letmekoo, etc. Experience the grove from multiple perspectives of creatures working and living in and around it (from artists to microorganisms) by following a wandering camera(wo)man, tree climber, flying drone, running or crawling pet (dog, cat, bird, rat) or even branch or herb movement.

Arturas Bumšteinas & Gitis Bertulis „Medica (Melos)“
This September „Atletika“ gallery will reopen for a new season together with a new cultural initiative –cultural centre SODAS 2123 (Vitebsko 21 & 23, Vilnius). Artists Arturas Bumšteinas and Gytis Bertulis will present their new exhibition „Medica (Melos)“ with an evening of performance by “Melos” choir on the 9th of September at 6:30 and 8:30 pm. The exhibition will run until 25th of September.
