On November 19 and 25, starting at 6:30 p.m., there will be a two-part workshop with artist Ignas Pavliukevičius. Registration is required.
What does a relationship look like when the “other” no longer has a body – only data sets, algorithms, and our own voices? And what if that “other” writes in your thoughts, offers ideas for your artwork, and speaks in your voice?
Artist and researcher Ignas Pavliukevičius invites you to a two-part workshop exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) weaves itself into our creativity, thinking, and relationships.
In the first session, Ignas will present his “AI toolkit” – participants will get to experiment with generative AI tools for creating images and text, and learn about how open-source models work.
In the second session, participants will create their own AI persona – a digital character that can become a creative partner, critic, or even a second self. This will be an experiment on algorithmic intimacy, authorship, and relationships with digital beings.
The workshop is open to artists, creatives, and anyone interested in exploring AI hands-on in creative practice. Participants will learn how large language models work, how to install and run them offline, and how to adapt them for artistic use.
