“An audio recorder with wind protection in hand, a phone with GPS turned on in a pocket. I start walking from the pedestrian bridge and pass by the edges of the “Sodas 2123” area, which are surrounded by crows. I descend to Balstogės Street and together with the plane overhead I continue the line towards the train tracks and the nearby local favorite sports field. Bypassing dog handlers, I climb to the curb towards Rasų Street and near the children’s playground, trying to accustom my ears to the noise of the new car wash. At the crossroads, I merge with the constant roar of the current on Drujos Street, and having exchanged a few words with passers-by, I reach the bridge again.

I walk around the Rasų triangle in a circle. I record another layer of sound. I collect sounds that can be heard with the naked ear and hope to catch something interesting with every attempt. Today’s walk of 10,000 steps contributes to a collection of field recording sounds. I repeat this action again.

The noise of trains, cars, planes mixed with the echoes of the city’s nature and friendly neighborhood has already become a typical sound of this neighborhood, the sections of which are from different times of the day and dates combined together in one track. By layering, by not changing anything and preserving the relationship between time and place, I select and mark only accents. Maybe someone else will be able to hear those new neural networks created by walking and sound monitoring. ”
