LIAA is launching an internal mentoring programme from 2023 and invites LIAA members to apply to be part of this programme.
As the union grows, its community is growing with members from different generations and backgrounds – both established interdisciplinary artists who have received National and other significant prizes, and young, exciting, up-and-coming artists and curators.
Internal mentoring is an opportunity to strengthen the internal bond of the union, to consolidate community, to share knowledge, practices, skills and ideas, to increase the professional skills of the creators, and to participate competitively in the processes of the creative field.
Using this advantage to enhance the professionalism of its members, LIAA is developing a platform where young artists who wish to participate in the mentorship will have the free opportunity to meet in person with selected members for an agreed number of sessions and times.
In 2023, three mentors from different fields will be invited to meet on this platform and LIAA artists will learn from them. Participating mentors: Akvilė Anglickaitė, Rokas Dovydėnas, Žygimantas Kudirka. They will implement 4 sessions with 1-2 participants.
In the application form, please indicate your motivation (in your cover letter, please specify the goal you want to achieve), choose a mentor, and provide a biography of the creator. Applications are invited until 27 June 2023.
