On Health, Domesticity, and Feelings is a group exhibition that unfolds an urbanistic narrative about what may seem like routine existence, exploring the notions of habits, safety, the home, introversion, as well as the significance of movement, and the underlying rich world of thoughts and feelings.
The exhibition romanticises the life of the Lithuanian lower economic class, a lifestyle familiar to many. Its motifs are employed by the exhibiting artists to craft a tender, wistful, secure, home-like atmosphere. Each artwork seamlessly draws the viewer into a distinct domesticity, compelling one to appreciate the unique individuality of every person. There is a deep sense of recurrence, suggesting a shared experience of parallel lives lived under identical conditions.
The various perspectives and communication styles introduced in the exhibition act as a reflective surface, resembling a mirror that presents the viewer with a potentially different, existentially more favourable interpretation of domestic life.
