Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association invites artists and curators to join
Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association (LeTMeKoo), established as a non-governmental public organisation in 1997, is an artist-run organisation that unites more than 120 members. It organizes and produces exhibitions (“Atletika” space), events, and residencies, publishes various publications and represents artists in various socio-political situations. Since 2019 it is running a cultural centre “Sodas 2123” (Vitebsko Str. Vilnius, Lithuania).

Living Ornament
Atletika Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of its spring exhibition, Living Ornament.
‘Candles, cushions and vases do really well in times when money is tight’. As Emily Gordon-Smith (head of fashion at the consultancy Stylus) suggests in this quote, the legacy of the 2008 financial crisis can be felt in the boom in affordable homeware products in shops like H&M Home, Zara Home etc. Gordon-Smith was also making a point about how ornament and decoration are not only symptoms of changing social, cultural and economic relations but also the agents used to negotiate and reconfigure them. From this perspective, the exhibition ‘Living Ornament’ takes decorating and ornament seriously, asking why they have been and continue to be simultaneously dismissed as frivolous and condemned as dangerous.

Biochemistry of Emotions
A creative workshop titled “Biochemistry of Emotions” will be organized in a non-disciplinary laboratory Alt lab on the 15–18 of February 2020, located in a new cultural center “Sodas 2123” (Vitebsko 21 & 23, Vilnius). The workshop invites everyone interested in the biological basis of empathy and interdisciplinary art projects.

Media Symposium “Diet vs. Feast”: Vegeta Congress 2020
If you could imagine yourself as a dietologist, what diet would you suggest? And if by any chance you would position yourself as a media harmonist – what would be your advise on how to balance out one’s media consumption?
During this symposium emerging artists, designers, architects and theoreticians will reconsider media via the concept of “diet”. To what extent could this concept be productive in the light of analysing the consumption of media and the process of generating media.

Dėl tvyrančio šalčio bei laiko stokos viską nešame sujungę kartu. Aštriais spinduliais pulsuojantis koridorius kupinas šviesos pluošte skraidančių dulkių, galimybių ir svetimų sapnų.
