Nauja Migruojančių meno akademijų laboratorija Creative Un(A)Counting – jau Vilniuje
Skaitmeninins realybės atvaizdavimas paprastai netampa meninių praktikų atskaitos tašku, nors skaičiai yra lengvai suvokiamas ir palyginamas matas. Gruodžio 9-14 dienomis Vilniaus dailės akademijos galerijoje “Akademija” rengiamose kūrybinėse dirbtuvėse „Creative Un(A)Counting“ dalyviai, susirinkę iš skirtingų Europos šalių, mėgins kūrybiniams procesams pritaikyti skaičiavimo metodus. Organizuojamos paskaitos yra atviros visiems susidomėjusiems.

Our social life is based on conventions: conventions of how to behave in cafés, shops, lectures and family dinners. All of these conventions are creations. They are not creations of one author, but something that has been collectively brought to being through the passage of cultural phenomena. Nevertheless, they are creations in the same sense than an artwork is a creation. Such behavioral patters could be created just as artworks are, and offered to the society as potential conventions. Fictiocratic Operation no. 27C laboratory aims to acknowledge and explore such possibilities during the New Year’s holiday, a time full of repeatable, socially accepted rituals often created on a fictional basis, the same fiction which artworks can be. After all, Santa Claus or New Year’s dress parties are the same fictional formations as a film of a worldwide catastrophe or a murder which happens on a theatre stage.

Video meno programos tema – kalbinės, tarminės patirtys ir lietuviškos etninės tradicijos indentifikavimas šiuolaikiniame pasaulyje.
Tarmė – nekintantis, stabilus, įgimtas anksčiausias kalbinis įgūdis. Archajinis palikimas nekinta laike, yra griežtai susijęs su vieta ir joje gyvenančiais žmonėmis – taip sukuriamas uždaras arealas, bendruomenė, kalbanti tik jai suprantama specifine kalba.
Tradicijos tęstinumui būtinas perdavimas, bet koks įprastas uždaro arealo gyvenimo rutinos sutrikdymas (pvz., emigracija) kuria naujas savo taisykles ir naikina tradiciją.
Kokią vietą tautosakos ir tautodailės tradicijos užima šiandien?
Kur jų vieta – muziejuose, bibliotekose, fonduose?
Ar tautinis paveldas tik „pelėsiai ir kerpės“, ar gyva, tautą maitinanti jėga?

Contraband. A Challenge for Young Artists
Once we hear the word „contraband“, we imagine dark coloured images straigt away – drugs, human trafficking, illegal cigarettes. However Vilnius Art Academy invites to look at this phenomenon from a wider point of view. Participants of Migrating Art Academies from different European countries will gather for a creative workshop organised in Nida Art Colony 1-15 September and will try to give this word a different meaning. All lectures during this event will be open to public.

Certain sounds cannot be perceived by an adult’s ear while they are easily heard by a child’s ear. And a sound doesn’t always sound the same – listen again and again, and new sounds appear. Dogs hear sounds that are outside of our frequency spectrum. Some people hear voices from ghosts, others don’t.
Gigacircus Media Art Group is hosting the new Migrating Art Academies laboratory “Voices” and invites emerging artists to experience Villefagnan together with Sylvie Marchand (FR) and Horacio Gonzales (ES), using sensory input, perceived by the senses or augmented by technological devices.
During the laboratory participants will explore voices phenomena and analyse the sense of hearing. Villefagnan inhabitants will guide the artists to discover local sounds, while the artists will offer unique sound layers on top of the local reality. The collected data resulting from the shared ‘aural experience’ between village dwellers and artists will be conceptualised, interpreted and transmitted through the medium of their choice and put together into a tangible form.
The Voices is organised by Gigacircus Media Art Group in collaboration with Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association. The laboratory is supported by Lithuanian Culture Support Foundation and Nordic Culture Point. Migrating Art Academies is a network for innovation and exchange in arts teaching and research.
