Closing event of international gathering of independent spaces Vilnius Meeting 2022: Schools & Gardens: Performative interludes evening at project space Swallow and SODAS 2123
On 29 April, 6pm to midnight, in various locations at SODAS 2123 (Vitebsko st. 21-23, Vilnius) a performative interludes evening will take place, with participants Tata Frenkel, Saulė Noreikaitė, Techniseptic (Jokūbas Čižikas), Gana2 (Antanas Dombrovskij), and others. The program is curated by project space Swallow.
This is a closing event of Vilnius Meeting 2022: Schools & Gardens, an international gathering of independent spaces and initiatives at SODAS 2123 (April 27-29th).

MARIJA NEMČENKO – ARTIST, LIAA MEMBER WORKING IN LIAA STUDIO IN CULTURAL CENTRE SODAS 2123
The Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists Association annually provides members with a creative study at the cultural centre SODAS 2123 to carry out creative activities and develop projects. 04/01 – 07/31/2022 studio will be used by an artist Marija Nemčenko for the creation of a new exhibition “IN THE HANDS OF OUR ECLECTIC PHYSICIANS”, which will be presented in the Swallow project space.

Independent Initiatives Baltics will meet for the first time in Vilnius
Final days of April, between 27-29th, cultural centre SODAS 2123 (Vitebsko 23, Vilnius) will witness an international co-learning event Vilnius Meeting 2022: Schools & Gardens. The event is organised by the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association (LIAA).

ARVYDAS GRIŠINAS – THE FIRST ARTIST, LIAA MEMBER WORKING IN LIAA STUDIO IN CULTURAL CENTRE SODAS 2123 IN 2022
The Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists Association annually provides members with a creative study at the cultural centre SODAS 2123 to carry out creative activities and develop projects. At the beginning of 2022, Kaunas University of Technology researcher Arvydas Grišinas will be using LIAA creative study at the cultural complex SODAS 2123 to work on a new book under the title “Intuitive Politics”.

Project “Lavkė. Slow and sandy expedition” presentation at cultural centre SODAS 2123
On 7 December 2021, at 18:00, the art initiative Verpėjos, together with the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association and cultural centre SODAS 2123 invites you to the presentation of the project Lavkė.Slow and sandy expeditionat SODAS 2123 (Vitebsko Str. 23, Vilnius). Artists who took part in the expedition will present their projects – Andrej Polukord, Dovilė Bagdonaitė, Pojūčių teatras(Karolina Žernytė, Šarūnė Pečiukonytė, Saulė Norkutė), Gabrielė Vetkinaitė, Agota Zdanavičiūtė, and Živilė Lukšytė – as well as project curator and coordinator team – Laura Garbštienė, Danutė Gambickaitė, Lina Rukevičiūtė, Indrė Liškauskaitė.

SODAS 2123 artist-in-residence: Adam Christensen
Adam Christensen is artist-in-residence at SODAS 2123 between November – December 2021. During his residency Christensen will consolidate work on his debut album which will be released by purge.xxx in 2022.

An installation event and a sound performance “Gathering” by Agnė Juodvalkytė, Philippe Gerlach, and Brian Pyle
This event is part of their residence at Sodas2123 programme.
Agnė Juodvalkytė uses textiles as a framework to understand culture, history and technology. She works with different materials, such as clothes, textiles, natural pigments, graphite dust, fabrics made by her grandmother, plants, and incorporates various mediums. Often presented in an anthropomorphic way, her works breathe their past into the present, becoming multidimensional artefacts extending not only into space but also into time.
In trying to merge his personal life with his artistic practice, Philippe Gerlach creates longterm portrait series of friends, lovers and acquaintances that are instilled with sentiments of intimacy and immediacy. Incorporating digital and analog photographic techniques, his wall installations are less focused on the single image, but on building a mesh that connects recent memories to older ones. Frequently these networks are enforced through nods to subculture and music.Brian Pyle (Ensemble Economique/Junk DNA) is an American sound composer, currently residing in Vilnius.
