Lithuanian Videospritz 2022 – two weekends of Lithuanian cinema and videoart in Trieste from 18 to 27 November 2022. Trieste Contemporanea is pleased to present the second edition of Lithuanian Videospritz. The project, curated by Daniele Capra, consists of two consecutive weekends in which screenings and conversations will alternate: together with the experts who have analysed the work, the protagonists of the event will be an international historical artist from the Baltic country such as Jonas Mekas (18-20 November) and some of the most influential voices of contemporary video art (25-27 November).

As part of Independent Initiatives Baltics program, Hoib Gallery (Tallinn, Estonia) invites to take part of the panel discussion focusing on the possibilities, specifics, strengths and weaknesses of the Baltic art scene. The panel will map collaboration potentials between Baltic (and Nordic) countries, discussing their independent art fields through local, regional, and global threads and histories. The event will take place 30 September at 6 pm at EKKM (Kursi 5, Tallinn, Estonia). The discussion panel is moderated by Vaida Stepanovaite.

22-25 September 2022, the cultural centre SODAS 2123 team was participating in the conference-camp of the Trans Europe Halles (TEH) network of cultural centres. The event took place in Fengersfors, Sweden, at Not Quite space and was called Do It Together. After this meeting SODAS 2123 became part of the big TEH family under associate member status.

Between 3–5 August 2022 Totaldobže art center will host the second meeting of Independent Initiatives Baltics in Riga, Latvia. This event is organised together with the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association (LIAA).
Independent Initiatives Baltics (IIB) – an emergent network for fostering a mutual environment and exchange between artist- and independently-run spaces in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. In 2022 it explores the Baltic scene in compact visits to Vilnius, Riga, Tallinn and wider, and investigates what framework could be adapted for future coexistence and cooperation and what collective tool could be built for shared future use.

From 1 July 2022 Alternative Art Guide proudly presents Back to Normal — a collaborative and international exhibition + network event initiated by Alternative Art Guide and Artist-Run Network Europe (ARNE), in which LIAA is participating as a partner. Between 1–24 July three group exhibitions will take place in the centre of The Hague, at Quartair, Trixie and Billytown.

On 30 June 2022, British artist Tom Lovelace’s exhibition Repetition Room opens at Atletika gallery (Vitebsko Str. 21, Vilnius). A performance will take place on the opening night from 7 pm. The exhibition is curated by Paulius Petraitis.

26-29 May 2022 SODAS 2123 is participating in the “Cultivation” conference of the Trans Europe Halles (TEH) international network of cultural centres, taking place in Prague at Studio Alta.
The TEH annual conference “Cultivation” takes place at Studio Alta, one of the TEH network partners, in Prague, Czech Republic. This international conference will focus on the topic of caring cultivation, cultivating culture in the field.
