Five LIAA members in the 2025 LIAA mentoring program

The Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association Mentorship Program is an initiative launched in 2023 to strengthen internal ties within the association, promote community spirit, and provide opportunities for members to share knowledge, practices, skills, and ideas. The program aims to contribute to the professional development of creators through peer learning, helping them to improve in a focused way and creating conditions for active participation in contemporary art processes.

Training series “AI in Artistic Practice: Rights, Protection, Opportunities”

The training series “AI in Artistic Practice: Rights, Protection, Opportunities,” scheduled to take place in October and November, will bring together artists, lawyers, and technology experts for events exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence and artistic practice. The training is organized by the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Union (LIAA). They will take place at the SODAS 2123 cultural complex (Vitebsko g. 23, Vilnius).

The first resident of Archaeomythologies is Kamilė Krasauskaitė!

Kamilė Krasauskaitė is an artist and curator working across multiple disciplines and dimensions. Her practice unfolds through installations, sculptures, painting, publications, and social events. She explores ancient crafts as deep codes for unlocking connections between everyday life and ancestral knowledge, including indigenous cultures’ beliefs and practices.

We invite contemporary art creators, curators and art researchers to join the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association (LIAA). LIAA unites more than 190 emerging and established contemporary art creators. The association organizes and produces exhibitions, events, residencies, publications and represents the interests of artists in the field of cultural policy.

Exhibition “RAVE NATION. Dancing to the Sounds of Freedom. 1992–2004”

Rave Nation, organised by the Lithuanian National Museum, presents the Lithuanian rave culture. LIAA members participating: Deividas Vytautas Aukščiūnas, Julijus Balčikonis, Arturas Bumšteinas, Barbora Matonytė, Kristina Maselskytė, Robertas Narkus, Gytis Skudžinskas.

OPEN SODAS: GAMES

OPEN SODAS marks the beginning of summer. On June 5, a new installation—Clay Playground—will open near the Oven Pavilion. This is a perfect opportunity to enjoy a picnic, listen to music, visit exhibitions, and explore a diversity of creative play spread throughout the artist studios across SODAS!

‘The Unloved’. Closing tour and film screening

The closing event of the current exhibition ‘The Unloved’ by Felicia Honkasalo and Sam Williams will take place on Thursday 15 May 2025 at Atletika gallery. The tour with Felicia Honkasalo will start from 6.30 pm, followed by the screening of the film ‘Adela Has Not Had Supper Yet’ (1978). Both events will be in English language.
