The Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association (LIAA) presented a mentoring programme aimed at encouraging creative activities and providing a platform for artists to learn from each other, bringing together art professionals and the reflection of creative practices. Each participant had the opportunity to exchange their experiences, ideas and technical knowledge. One of the strengths of the programme was its interdisciplinary approach. Participants were not limited to their own field and were able to explore other art forms and experiment with new ideas, specifically creative writing and the application of different strategies in personal practices. This allowed the artists to broaden their horizons and expand their approach to a wider context. During the mentoring programme, participants shared their creative progress, challenges and achievements. Each artist had the opportunity to receive constructive feedback and advice from the mentors. The mentoring programme was not only a place where artists shared their knowledge, but also a community environment where creativity and innovation were encouraged and valued.

SWANBACK is a new hybrid film by Marija Nemcenko that blends fictional and documentary narratives exploring how within both British and Russian imperialisms the symbol of the swan – associated with truth, purity and aristocracy – has been used to strengthen the structures of oppression on people’s lives and upon their bodies.
