LIAA presents a new podcast: virtual conversations with three creatives

The Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association (LIAA) presents a series of three conversations with LIAA members Žygimantas Augustinas, Neringa Bumblienė, and Lina Lapelytė on its new podcast. This podcast rethinks the classic “artist talk” format and gives listeners the opportunity to get acquainted with the creatives’ thinking not only through their works, but also by listening to their personal experiences, creative decisions, work routines, doubts, and convictions.

The 2025 LIAA prize winners are Saskia Fischer, Gabija Pernavaitė, and Deividas Vytautas Aukščiūnas.

As every year, in 2025, LIAA organized a competition for the production of new works for its members. The association initiated this competition in 2020 and continues it as a regular annual tradition, recognizing the need for awards for the work of authors who are actively developing their practice.

The LIAA prize of one thousand euros to the artist contributes to the development of members’ creative practices, helps to implement projects under development, organize exhibitions, contributes to the creation of new works, participation in residencies, research, and the promotion of new initiatives, as well as providing additional dissemination opportunities through LIAA channels.

In 2025, the prizes were given to three artists: Saskia Fischer, Deividas Vytautas Aukščiūnas, and Gabija Pernavaitė.

The Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association Mentorship Program is an initiative launched in 2023 to strengthen internal ties within the association, promote community spirit, and provide opportunities for members to share knowledge, practices, skills, and ideas. The program aims to contribute to the professional development of creators through peer learning, helping them to improve in a focused way and creating conditions for active participation in contemporary art processes.

AI Series Talk: AI in My Studio. My Enemy, My Thief, My Assistant, My Voice

On November 26 at 13:00, we invite you to the final online event of the series “AI in Creative Practice: Rights, Protection, Possibilities.” Paulius Briedis, founder of the NGO Robotikos mokykla (Robotics School), will present a lecture titled “AI in My Studio. My Enemy, My Thief, My Assistant, My Voice.”

Two-part workshop with artist Ignas Pavliukevičius: Me, You, and Robots: New Forms of Intimacy with Digital Beings

Training series “AI in Artistic Practice: Rights, Protection, Opportunities”

The training series “AI in Artistic Practice: Rights, Protection, Opportunities,” scheduled to take place in October and November, will bring together artists, lawyers, and technology experts for events exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence and artistic practice. The training is organized by the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Union (LIAA). They will take place at the SODAS 2123 cultural complex (Vitebsko g. 23, Vilnius).

The first resident of Archaeomythologies is Kamilė Krasauskaitė!

Kamilė Krasauskaitė is an artist and curator working across multiple disciplines and dimensions. Her practice unfolds through installations, sculptures, painting, publications, and social events. She explores ancient crafts as deep codes for unlocking connections between everyday life and ancestral knowledge, including indigenous cultures’ beliefs and practices.
