On October 26, 2023, at 6pm, in front of the former Vilnius City Central Post Office building, artist Dainius Liškevičius will present his performance titled “Pizzeria. Post Office. Vilnius / 1:32:34”. This is the second event in the series of performances by Dainius Liškevičius, initiated this year by the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association. The first one – the smoke sculpture “One Minute Portrait of Jurgis Mačiūnas Saying CIAO!” – was presented during the Vilnius Gallery Weekend on 9 September in Petras Cvirka Square, Vilnius.

This year’s Trans Europe Halles meeting-conference for the second half of the year took place in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, at the Fabrika Tbilisi cultural centre, which used to be a Soviet-era sewing factory. It now houses artists’ studios, workshops, educational and co-working spaces, guesthouses, cafés, bars and community gatherings. “Fabrika Tbilisi” was presented during the event as a good example of a company that has adopted various resilience building practices.

The series of educational workshops of the cultural education project “Blossom v1.2” is set to conclude on October 10, 2023, with the creative workshop titled “A Fish Facing South” led by Rūta Spelskytė. The workshop will be hosted at the Entity cultural space, located at SODAS 2123.

On 5-8 October 2023, the Trans Europe Halles (TEH) international network is holding a conference called ‘Reboot’ in Tbilisi, Georgia, hosted by the cultural organisation ‘Fabrika Tbilisi’, and the team of the cultural centre SODAS 2123 will be participating in the conference.

LIAA together with Vilnius Gallery Weekend organise a “Tag the author win the artwork” competition and invites art gallery visitors to take part in a game the prize of which is a work of art.
Gallery visitors are invited to tag artists in their Instagram posts – in the photos of artworks for a chance to win one of three prizes – artworks.
The competition runs from 07/09/2023 to 15/10/2023.

Throughout the months of September – October, Atletika gallery invites everyone to guided tours with Aistė Marija Stankevičiūtė, the curator of the current exhibition Mind Readers at Atletika gallery. The tours will take place on 15 September, 6 pm. (in Lithuanian), 29 September, 6 pm. (in English), 12 October, 6 pm. (in Lithuanian). Artists presented at the exhibition are Anton Karyuk, George Finlay Ramsay, Ieva Rižė, Jogintas Čepulis, Marija Šnipaitė and Sophie Durand, exhibition architecture by Algirdas Jakas.
