VGW program: Dance Performance “Cracks”

“Cracks” starts from the dystopia caused by being alone. Yet, the person cannot manage to stay ‘one’. Being cracked and multiple, the person hides one’s complexity and so violates oneself. Scratching one’s robustness, one meets oneself striving to relate.

The person lays down on the ground. The rain is falling on one’s cheeks. The wind is in the branches above one’s head. One starts to feel an overwhelming desire to relate with oneself and other living and dead humans, places, animals, plants and seasons.

Vilnius Gallery Weekend Announces Golden Ages

Golden Ages. This is the perspective that Vilnius Gallery Weekend, the first event of the autumn gallery and exhibition season, takes on the capital’s art field this year – a special year, marking Vilnius’s 700th anniversary. The organisers of the eighth edition of the art festival will invite visitors to reflect on what we remember and what we relegate to the margins, and to explore the kinds of golden ages that individuals and communities dream of.
