LIAA is launching a new series of publications on ideas

Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association (LIAA) ends the year with the introduction of a new series of small-format publications “One idea”.

The main idea and principle of the series – one notebook, one artist, one idea that can manifest itself in different forms each time: as notes of ideas, fragments of thoughts, various forms of self-reflection, pulled out from long-forgotten drawers, computer hard drives or right out of artists’ heads.

Neatpažintas skraidantis objektas: Antano Gerliko skulptūrinė instaliacija „SODAS 2123“ komplekse

„SODAS 2123“ kultūros komplekse nusileido NSO. Nepaisant nežemiškos kilmės požymių, iš tiesų tamsų diską sukūrė menininkas Antanas Gerlikas, „nutupdęs“ porą šių erdvėlaivių Vilniuje ir gimtojoje Plungėje. Nematyti jokio liuko, pro kurį galėtų išlipti ateiviai. Nėra ir langų, antenų, butaforinių paviršiaus detalių – iš mokslinės fantastikos filmų pažįstamų technologinį sudėtingumą imituojančių pasikartojančių geometrinių formų.

Three conversations about creative processes and walls

Why is it easier to paint on one wall and not on the other? What is an “exit room”? How can ceramics be related to screens? The artist’s studio is the place where the most unexpected questions often arise and the most interesting processes, invisible to many, take place: ideas are born, various transformations, mistakes, coincidences happen and slow technical work is performed.
